The family is growing! Following their marriage on the 19th of May this year, Prince Harry and Megan Markle have adopted a little four legged companion.

A royal little pup

The couple adopted a little Labrador (the most popular breed in the United Kingdom) in the beginning of the summer. His name has not yet been officially announced and Kensington Palace have not commented on the adoption, but the little pup has appeared a number of times while on walks near Kensington Palace and at their house in the Costwolds.

The former film and television actress Meghan Markle has always had a passion for dogs. She brought her little rescue Beagle called Guy with her to London. He even got to have a ride in Queen Elizabeth II’s range rover, on the way to Meghan and Harry’s marriage in Windsor. Meghan's other dog, Bogart, who was old and ill, was not able to travel with the Duchess of Sussex and is staying with a close friend near Los Angeles.

The love of dogs is a true tradition throughout the Royal Family. Of course, we know that the Queen adores dogs, especially Corgis. William and Catherine have an adorable Cocker Spaniel named Lupo. Prince Charles raises Jack Russels and always has them around him. His favourite was named Tigger, who lived to 18 years old. Not forgetting the Duke of Windsor and Wallis Simpson who also had a passion for Pugs.

These dogs are all living the beautiful Palace life - lucky pooches!
